Amy Smith is starting her 8th year as a head cheer coach in Klein ISD. She transferred from Kleb Intermediate where she served as the head coach from 2018-2022. She has coached, trained, judged, and taught cheer for 25 years in the Houston area. She is a certified NCA judge, a USA-certified coach, and a UCA staff nominee. She is a former junior high and high school UCA All-American cheerleader and has 16 years of dance and tumbling experience. She is a 4-time UCA State Champion and 4-time UCA Regional Champion. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Coach Smith teaches Fashion Design I, Fashion Design II, and Fashion Design Practicum. She also volunteers her time helping many schools across Klein ISD and other districts with their cheer programs by offering stunt clinics, coaching assistance, and mentorships.
During the 2023-2024 school year, she took the first team in Klein ISD to the UIL State Spirit Competition and nominated the first cheerleader to be awarded Academic All-State and All-State Cheerleader by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.
She is focused on building the Klein Collins Cheerleading program by developing driven athletes who are interested in furthering their cheerleading careers in college.
Coach Smith is married to her husband of 18 years and has three children, Alex (25), Kali (23) and Gaven (22) who are huge supporters of the Klein Collins Cheer program.

Coach Kali has been a volunteer cheer coach in Klein ISD for over 7 years. She is best known as @CheerCoach_Kali and for doing numerous cheer camps, stunt clinics and private lessons in the area. She is a former Magnolia West High School cheerleader, a 5-time UCA All-American, and her cheer squad captain. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our program and we are thankful for her assistance. Coach Kali has accompanied Coach Smith to all UCA camps, UIL, and Regional Competitions, specializing in cheer choreography. She has been instrumental in the success of the Klein Collins and Kleb Cheer programs. She is a 2024 graduate of Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and lives in Maryland working for the federal government. She is USA Cheer Safety certified, Stunt Safety certified and is a true leader to our youth.
Coach Hebert transferred from Kleb Intermediate where he was the assistant coach for the cheer team during basketball season. At Klein Collins, he is the assistant girl's soccer coach and in his spare time, he assists with the cheer program. He teaches Biology 1 KP, is the Biology team lead, and enjoys building relationships with his athletes.
