General Reminders:
Please help us keep everyone's belongings with their owner by writing your child's name on his/her belongings and supplies.
We would also appreciate you reminding your child that they should not bring any toys, nuisance items, or valuables to campus. We want to try to eliminate or reduce distractions at school so everyone can concentrate on their academics.
Please discuss with your child how they are getting to and from school to help minimize worry and concern.
Finally, remind your child that there will be lots of adults on campus to help them if they are not sure what to do and that they are going to have a BRILLiant day at school!
Students should not wear any clothing or accessories that are distracting, disruptive, or disturbing. For example, outfits that are too short, revealing, or depict inappropriate images.
Appropriate footwear is required, no slippers are allowed. Closed toed shoes are recommended for recess and PE.
Hats or head coverings may not be worn at school.
Sunglasses may not be worn inside the building.
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices:
All cell phones and electronic devices including Airpods and earbuds should be kept powered off in your student's backpack or belongings. Students may not use their cell phone or electronic device during school hours. Cell phone use in restrooms is strictly prohibited and will result in school consequences. If a student is caught using their phone, the device will be taken to the office by a staff member and the parent will be contacted.
If a parent or caretaker needs to communicate with their child, please contact the front office and we will facilitate getting your child the message.
Attendance Reminder:
Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his or her education—to benefit from teacher-led and school activities, to build each day’s learning on the previous day’s, and to grow as an individual. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student’s mastery of the instructional materials; therefore, the student and parent should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.
Did you know you can now report an absence in Skyward?
Any student who is absent for the whole day is required to produce one of the following within 5 days of their absence(s):
Parent Note
Message through Parent Skyward account
Original medical note (copies or altered notes will not be accepted)
Faxed notes must be sent from physician’s office
Court note
Official note for observance of approved religious holy days
If a student does not produce one of the items listed above within the allotted timeframe, that absence will be considered unexcused and counted toward their total semester absences. Please feel free to contact our front office if you are in need of support or have questions.
