The heart and soul of teaching is being able to connect with people and understand them. No matter what your profession is, being able to connect with people is an essential skill to have. For some, it comes very naturally, but for others it's a skill that needs to be perfected. Being relationship driven is an attribute I place most of my energy in. The reason is simple! If you have people's heart, you can have them by your side.

As a teacher, I have developed positive relationships with my staff, students and families where they know that I care for them. I have done many family engagement projects for campuses. I have developed partneship with others in the community that are non- profit organization we cater to and other neighboring districts.

Diversity is what empowers us. United, we stand strong. . With my team, we have participated in many multicultural events for campuses and worked closely with Family Engagement to ensure we serve our community. I have contributed articles in the Exchange to be culturally responsive to students.
