Our Philosophy

At Itihaasa we take every child very seriously, and by extension the choices and decisions they make with regards to activities of the camp – including what roles they chose to play in the drama every year. The camp’s goal is to offer a holistic learning experience of history/itihaasa from different perspectives such as art, dance, sport, games, music and drama. Our hope is that they finish their time at camp with newly formed friendships, make memories and have an immersive learning experience of their samksriti and history.

There are several kids who started off with little to no lines and have progressed over the years to confidently take on bigger roles – but it has been their choice and so they get the entire credit for their progress. We hope that students and parents do not allow their specific role played or the number of lines memorized in the drama to define their overall experience at Itihaasa.

With growing interest and excitement in the camp, for the first time in our six years, we will audition campers to assign roles to actors.
