The competition is OPEN to all interested education institutions and government/ private agencies.
HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS:
Participants from higher education and government / private agencies can choose any competition categories from Class 1 to Class 7, however only subjected to ONE (1) competition class for each innovation product / project.
SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS:
The Innovation Contest for Young Scientists is open to students in secondary school under Class 8, aged 13 to 18 years old, and invites participants to showcase their creativity and scientific ideas on various field.
PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS:
The Innovation Contest for Junior Scientists is open to primary school students aged 7 to 12, covering a variety of fields will be subjected to Class 9.
The RIGHT class selection will help participants to achieve the best marks in the competition. However, the organizer has right to change the participant class depend on the subject matter.
Projects can be presented individually or in teams of up to FIVE (5) members including the Group Leader / Supervisor
Entries must include a completed entry form, Abstract, Poster, Presentation Video and a Payment Slip as proof during IBIEC 2025 Confbay registration.
Group members are regarded according to the name(s) listed in the entry form and any amendments are not allowed.
Language to be used:
For ABSTRACT, the usage of English and Bahasa Malaysia are allowed.
For POSTER, participants MUST use English
For INNOVATION VIDEO, can be produced in English or Bahasa Malaysia (with English subtitles).
Only FIVE (5) shortlisted participants from each class will be called for pitching session that will be held on July 2025 for a TOP 5 and best award winner selection.
For participants that are not called for pitching session, the participant and award (Gold, Silver and Bronze) certificates will be mailed after closing ceremony on August 2025.
No refunds will be issued if participants wish to withdraw from the competition.
Decisions of panels are FINAL. Any complaints will not be entertained.
