As a telehealth practitioner, I often miss the physicality of in-person sessions— intentional stretching, handshakes, full-body expression of emotions. Walk and talk therapy is my solution to this problem. Not only do walk and talk, or nature therapy, sessions allow me to see your beautiful faces in person, but they also allow us to move our bodies and engage in mindfulness with the ever-changing natural scenery around us. Whether you just want to get out of the house, find movement meditative, or resonate with how the natural world mirrors internal cycles and transformations, walk and talk therapy is a wonderful alternative to virtual sessions.
Where we'll walk
Andorra Meadow Loop
Forbidden Drive Trail
Fernhill Park
Choose from one of these three locations or suggest a local park or walking trail of your choice. I will contact you before our first session with directions to our specific location and a short checklist of items to bring to enhance your comfort and enjoyment outdoors. If you are a new client, we will first complete a virtual, 60-minute intake session before venturing to the outdoors.
When we'll walk
Any season, any weather. Nature therapy is about experiencing the beauty of nature through her changing seasons. Not just "perfect" spring and fall days. With the exception of extreme weather (e.g. heavy rain/storms, extreme heat or cold, or excessive wind), we can plan to meet together to walk.
