Parent/Guardian Resources

Parent & Family Programs

Looking for support, information and inspiration as a parent, grandparent, relative caregiver or foster parent? During the Covid-19 outbreak we cannot offer on-site programs, but we are still here to support you as a parent, with:

Virtual groups – Parent Recharge twice a week, and Relative-Caregiver Recharge once a week. See calendar of virtual programs and login info.

ParentsConnect Facebook group. We have set up a private Facebook group for parents to connect with one another during this time of “social distancing.” This online community is a place where you can get inspiration and support as you experience the joy and frustration that come with being a parent or grandparent in today’s complicated world. It can be really comforting to know that you are not alone. All parents, grandparents, foster parents and caregivers are welcome to join in the conversations.

Phone and email support. Even though we cannot meet in person right now, we in the Family Center are still here if you need to talk with someone for help with a parenting concern, to find a specific resource or to vent your frustrations or celebrate your successes. Call us and leave a message, and we will get back to you within 24 hours, or the next business day: (603) 422-8209. Or email us anytime: Georgie, Patrice, Parkie.

We also offer home visiting and a monthly Family Focus e-newsletter.

Although our on-site programs are suspended, below you can see the most recent listings, to give you an idea of what we typically offer. Most programs are free and include free child care (with advance signup). You, and your children, are warmly welcome at all our programs. Contact Patrice by email or at 603-422-8209 for help creating a Parent Education Plan to meet your individual needs.

Parent Toolkit is a one-stop resource developed with parents in mind. It’s produced by NBC News Learn and supported by Pearson and includes information about almost every aspect of your child’s development, because they're all connected. Healthy, successful children can excel in many areas – in the classroom, on the court, and in their relationships with peers and adults. Our advice also covers important topics for navigating life after high school.
