Homework Expectations 

SPELLING

Students are expected to complete 1 spelling assignment from their choice board daily and turn it in the following morning.

READING

A reading log is given at the beginning of the week every and needs be signed by a parent/guardian once it is completed. Reading Logs are due Friday. 

AR

AR is a trimester grade. It is important that students are reading weekly. Reading builds fluency, comprehension, and helps students make connections to reading standards they are learning. Books are available for students to check out at the Kit Carson School Library, my classroom library, or can be accessed through Epic, Story Online, and Tumble Books.

Your student will need to take AR tests during school hours on the books they have read. An AR score of 85% or higher will help students reach their personal trimester goal.
