I want our classroom to be a place of learning and I strive to make sure all students in my classroom have that opportunity to learn. In order to create an environment in which students are learning it is important that our classroom management policies are in place and supported at home. Students that choose to follow the rules will be rewarded with class tickets to use in a prize box raffle.
Each time a rule is broken, a consequence is given
Strike 1:
Incident Documentation: If a student breaks a rule, the first time it happens, it will be documented in your student’s class file.
Consequence: Depending on what happened, the student might lose a classroom privilege.
Contact: A note, message, or call will be sent home with your student so you are aware of the incident.
Strike 2:
Incident Documentation: If a student breaks a rule, the second time it happens, it will be documented in your student’s class file.
Consequence: Depending on what happened, the student might lose a classroom privilege.
Contact: A note, message, or call will be sent home with your student so you are aware of the incident.
Strike 3:
Incident Documentation: If the student breaks a rule a third time, it will be documented in your student’s class file..
Consequence: After the third strike, the student will receive a citation, which means a meeting with Admin. to discuss what happened and what can be done to improve.
*Note
Severity Consideration: Some behaviors are more serious than others, and in those cases, the consequences might be more severe right away.
Resetting Strikes: Strikes will reset at the start of each quarter, giving everyone a fresh start and a new chance to make good choices.
