Academic Profile

Fraidoon Rashid is an Assistant Professor in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering in the department of engineering , Kurdistan institution for strategic studies and scientific research. He started teaching on the Petroleum Engineering programmes in 2016 as a lecturer in different universities throughout the Kurdistan region of Iraq including reservoir engineering and wireline logs in Knowledge university , petroleum technology and future of oil and gas modules in Charmo university , reservoir simulations and petroleum production engineering in Sulaimani polytechnic university , reservoir engineering and production engineering in Kurdistan technical institute. Besides of the teaching he worked on numerical modelling of fluid flow within heterogenous carbonate petroleum reservoir rocks such as flow in tight carbonates , gas bearing carbonates and fractured carbonates , followed by reservoir evaluation in non-conventional shale zones in the Zagros folded zone.
