Academic activities

The establishment of the Psychological and Social Counseling Center at the Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research (2026-in progress). As a source for addressing the psychological and social needs of staff, researchers, students, and the wider community in the Kurdistan Region, this initiative is considered necessary and desirable by the Kurdistan administration, in line with Directive No. (1) of 2025 issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This project encompasses the steps of developing the center's proposal, defining its objectives and legal framework, and preparing its organizational structure and logistical requirements.

The proposal for establishing a Consultancy Office in Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research (2025-2026). As a strategic initiative to transform KISSR's research capabilities and specialized laboratories into actionable solutions for governmental, private, and civil society sectors in the Kurdistan Region. This proposal encompasses the development of organizational structure, integration of five specialized laboratories (geology, agriculture, quality control, biology, and petroleum engineering) with training centers, and establishment of a sustainable revenue-generating model through multi-sectoral consulting services.

The proposal for modifying the Quality Assurance evaluation criteria in Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research (2025-in progress). As a strategic initiative to align staff assessment mechanisms with the nature of strategic research work conducted at KISSR, replacing classroom-focused evaluation models with project-based performance metrics. This proposal encompasses the redesign of evaluation parameters, elimination of student feedback dependency for research-focused staff, and establishment of comprehensive assessment criteria recognizing project management, data analysis, academic publications, committee participation, and strategic research contributions.

The establishment of the Pedagogical Training Center in Kurdistan institution for strategic studies and scientific research (2025-2026). As a source for fulfilling academic needs in the Kurdistan Region, alongside the universities of the Kurdistan Region, is considered necessary and desirable by the Kurdistan administration. This project encompasses the steps of developing the centre’s proposal, providing instructors, and logistical preparations.
