Academic activities

Dr. Abdullah is currently working on two research projects on oral history and climate change awareness. She is also a member of several academic committees at the Kurdistan Institution and teaches at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Research, College of Humanities at the University of Sulaimani. She has been also very active in collaborative academic-community projects, including an upcoming research project on climate change with students from several departments at the University of Sulaimani. The project will be a collaboration between the Kurdistan Institution and two local organizations, Art+ and Waterkeepers Iraq, funded by the German Embassy in Baghdad.

In 2017, Dr. Abdullah received the Outreach Grant from the British Institute for the Study of Iraq in collaboration with two local organizations ART+ and CDO to work with IDP and refugee children at the Arbat Refugee Camp in Slêmanî.
