Android Apps is a computer science class offered at Kiski Area High School taught by Melissa Schaeffer. The students able to take Android Apps have to have a prerequisite of Computer Programming with Java. In Android Apps, students learn the basic knowledge of creating Android Applications. The students developed their programming skills over a semester, and then began creating the Kiski Area Google Symposium App. The students discuss their experiences developing various applications, including the Kiski Area Google Symposium App.

Blurring the Lines of Special Ed and General Ed Through Co-Teaching (Library Classroom)

Biology teachers Regina Strong and Erin Witucki discuss ways Google has impacted their Co-Teaching classroom, with an emphasis on lesson planning and assessment. Social Studies teacher Anna Eichner and Special Education teacher Maia Rodriguez discuss using Google to benefit our learning support population.

Quizizz.com (Room 101)

Quizizz is a fun way for students to showcase their progress and knowledge about a subject matter. Teachers can create a Quizizz of their own or use a Quizizz that is shared by other teachers through Quizizz website. Quizizz allows teachers to receive instant feedback from students and shows data as soon as the student is finished. Quizizz can be used as a review game, a formative assessment or even a pre-test. Quizizz is a great way to keep students interested in learning without the anxiety or stress associated with a formal exam or written pop quiz.

Student Panel (Room 301)

Students will discuss how life has changed for students in the Kiski Area School District in terms of classwork, homework, projects, and more.
