What is Lumio?
Lumio by SMART is a digital learning tool designed to work with changing teaching environments. Lumio is 100% web based and will allow teachers to create engaging lessons that students can interact with in class, remotely, or on their own time using their own devices.
Signing In
Signing In
To get started with Lumio, type lum.io in your browsers URL bar. You will be brought to a webpage that looks like this:
Click on the text in the top right that says "Teacher sign in". Select "Sign in with Google" and sign in using your kiskiarea.com Google Account.
If you've never created a SMART Account before, Lumio will guide you through the steps to create one. Be sure to configure a teacher (adult) account so you can properly create and edit lessons.

After signing in, you'll be brought to the Lumio home page which looks like this:
This page contains many key features of Lumio, including:
Lumio Library: The library displays lessons/lesson templates that SMART and other educators have decided to share. You may use any of these to use as your lesson, or use as a starting point for your lesson.
Class ID: This code will be given to students when you want them to join an interactive lesson on their device. You may rename your class, reset the ID, change the banner, and manage other various settings from the "Edit class" menu.
New and Import: You may create a new lesson or import existing lessons using these two buttons in the top left. These will be covered in the next section of this guide.
Recents and Drive: In this section, you will see all of the lessons you've created, in the order of the last time you opened each lesson. You can also easily access your Google Drive by clicking "Visit Google Drive".
