School-wide goal: Assess What Matters

Come join this Micro-PD where we will explore peer assessment in the classroom.

Whether you consider yourself a peer assessment aficionado, or you have never used it and want to learn more about how it could be utilized in your classroom, I’m there is something that will benefit everyone. With the help of professionals Tom Schimmer and Catlin Tucker, we’ll reflect on your current use of peer assessment, discuss best practices, and how these strategies can be modified and implemented for your classroom.

School-wide goal: Build Compassion

Come join in this Micro PD where we will explore the Korean concept of 과로사 (Gwarosa) which is also referred to as “death by overworking.”

We will participate in a facilitated Open Space protocol after viewing a short video together that features how work impacts the health and livelihoods of our Korean neighbors. Let’s take our school-wide goal of building compassion and brainstorm together how we might apply our learning and reflection to our practice, point of view, and greater community here in South Korea.
