General Rules and Housekeeping

• Kirsty's School of Dance is a registered business and complies with APRA and PPCA rights and insurance licenses. We are a Covid safe business and comply with all Covid-19 guidelines and procedures. 

• Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms unless invities. Parents are to wait in the foyer or in their cars out the front of the studio for classes to be finished. Parents are to engage in a profession manner to all teachers, students and other parents. Bulling and misconduct will not be tolerated and may lead to termination from the studio. 

• We take many procausions to keep your child safe although sometimes accidents do happen. We do not take any responsibility for students whilst they are not in class. If a child is having a break they are to wait in the foyer. Students are not to play outside the studio building at any time and are to be supervised when arriving and leaving the premises.

• No responsibility will be taken for lost items or injuries whilst at the studio. Participation is at your own risk. 

• Parking at the studio is limited. Please park at the car park at the bottom of the Hall or in the school parking. Do not cause conjestion in the roundabout. 

• All studio ammenities and premises must be kept in a clean and orderly fashion. Please remove any rubbish from the building before leaving. 

Commitment and Cancellations

• By enrolling into classes you are reserving the teaches time for that class. It is an expectation of Kirsty's School of Dance that you attend all lessons. 

• Once enrolled into a class, you are locked in for the year. If you wish to cancel you supscription with KSD please notify us by emailing info@kirsty.dance - There are early exit and cancellation fees that will be assigned to your account. There is a two week notice that needs to be provided in advance. Students will be required to finish the term enrolled, after this you will no longer be enrolled and a student of KSD. 

• Students that will be absent must notify the studio of their absence by messaging Kirsty on 0424221223. Students will be charged for classes unless supplying a medical certificate in their absence. 

• In an event of a student leaving, all inclusions of packages that have not been recieved are forfeited. No refund of credit or inclusions will be issued due to leaving the studio.

• If you are an enrolled student of Kirsty's School of Dance you are expected to to NOT take any classes with another studio. With the exception of approval from Kirsty and approved workshops.  

Taking Lessons 

• Students must be ready to take classes and arrive promptly. It is advised that students arrive approximately 5 minutes before their allocated class time. 

• No dangly earrings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, or large rings are to be worn in class. Hair must be tied up and out of the students face at all times. 

• All students are required to wear uniform to every lesson including the correct footwear. Please see uniform page on our website for all requirements and ordering forms. 

• All students should be picked up promptly at the end of classes. If parents are running late, the studio is to be notified to keep your child safe. 

• Photography and videography may be taken of student whilst in class, and used for advertisment and promotional use. Students who do not have permission may miss out on performance opportunities. Please see permission forms and waivers for the photography and videography permission slips. 

• Kirsty's School of Dance own all copyright for the dance routines taught at the studio. All routines remain property of KSD and may not be reproduced or performed outside the studio unless permission has been given by Kirsty. 

• All routines shared on social media must have Kirsty's School of Dance tagged and credited for choreography or you will be asked to remove it immediately.  

• Under circumstances where classes are unable to be taught face to face, Kirsty's School of Dance will continue to conduct lessons via zoom where necessary until students are able to return to regular scheduled classes. 

• If your child has a medical condition, Kirsty is to be notified ASAP and a management plan is to put into place. 

Fees and Payments 

• Fees at Kirsty's School of Dance are kept to a minimum. Our yearly enrolment period is from January - December. 

• Students must be enrolled through our portal, and use our app to check for updates, fees and costuming regularly. (Dance Studio Pro)

• Students must enrol in Auto-Pay through the parent portal before taking classes at KSD. Payments will be direct debited from your selected account on the 1st of each month. 

• No refunds will be issued under any circumstances. 

• Fees are to be paid regardless of attendance. 

• Families must agree to pay the amount of all owing invoices for the classes taken as agreed to as per these terms and conditions. Failure to honour payment agreements will result in debt recovery proceedings at your expense. 

• In the unfortunate event where your direct debit fails a $10 dishonour fee will be added to your account. 

• School holidays and public holidays will be taken into account and will not be charged. 

• Costuming and uniforms will be added to your parent portal weekly and charged in the monthly fee. 

• Photos and enrolment fees are to be paid separately.
