All of the adventures, cars I've owned and places I've been
I bought this junker for $40 and it was worth every penny. Drove it all through the mid 90s and I still wish I had it. Every panel was beaten in and it had a 4 painted on the side, I'm pretty sure it had been in a crash-up-derby.
The windows rolled down about half way (due to the doors being smashed in) and the drivers side window was help up with a 2x4 (tubafur for those of you from the countryside). I would drive up to a drive through, remove the 2x4 so the window would fall down, get my order, push/pull the window back up and wedge the 2x4 back into place to keep the window up.
The football team was walking by one day in the high school parking lot and asked if they could key my car, so of course I said yes. Everyone signed my car which then rusted in a really cool pattern. My best friend and I also painted a smiley face on the hood and a peace sign on the trunk lid.
1972 Subaru DL
80s Convertible Chrystler LeBaron Turbo. These are not my pictures, but it's the model, color and top that I had. I loved that car. And no, convertibles are not drafty or cold in the winter or noisy on the freeway. Lesson learned, always buy the convertible.
1994 Mustang Convertible, wee bit underpowered, wee bit not a sports car, wee bit fun to drive. I thought I was so cool... shoulda kept the LeBaron.
After I got over my Mustang phase, I bought this little beauty. I got 2 speeding tickets within the first two weeks, now you decide which car so far is the sports car.
I'm not sure if this picture is my first or second GTI.

I purchased this from the son of a sweet little old lady. She was the second owner after buying it from someone that had it for a few years new off the lot. The son had pulled the fuel injection off and put in carburetors (yo, not a sports car, carbs did nothing for the performance anyways), I am in the process of putting the fuel injection back on (I mean come on, it's not a sports car, it's for driving around and I just want a smooth ride).
