PSIA Lead: Supports the Private Schools Interscholastic Association (PSIA) program by helping organize students’ participation and assisting with competition logistics. They will work with Dean of Students, Jared Dailey.
PSIA was created to provide similar academic competition opportunities for students in 1st - 8th grade at private, parochial, and home schools, while UIL is primarily for public schools. The founder of PSIA conceived the idea while working at UIL, intending to create a similar, high-level, and comprehensive academic program.
Kirby Hall School is in District 7A (an "A" school).
KHS will host a Mini Fair in the cafeteria and library for practice during the school day Wednesday, February 4, 2025 from 2 - 3:00 PM. This event is will allow the students to experience the competition prompts and former tests, and to check out which options are available to them. Parents are welcome to come and we'd love more time trackers. If you didn't sign up to volunteer, you can still come by to help!
PSIA for Kirby Hall School is on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic School in Austin, Texas.
Academic District Meets occur February 6 - March 7, 2026.
"A" State Meet -- April 18, 2026 -- Texas State University, San Marcos

The Faculty/Staff Favorites booklet is in the front office if parents ever want to reference it for one of their kiddo's teachers or school staff. We often use it when we get birthday treats for each other, but we thought parents might like to know that it's available for them to look through as well if ever needed. Thank you for appreciating the adults who make our school experience possible.
