PSIA was created to provide similar academic competition opportunities for students in 1st - 8th grade at private, parochial, and home schools, while UIL is primarily for public schools. The founder of PSIA conceived the idea while working at UIL, intending to create a similar, high-level, and comprehensive academic program.
Kirby Hall School is in District 7A (an "A" school).
Our Kirby Hall Penguins are PSIA PROUD, earning 3rd place overall in the 2026 statewide competition. We had nearly 30 students compete in a variety of academic and creative/artistic categories from 1st - 6th grades.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our students who participated, and a huge thanks goes to Mr. Dailey, our teachers, and parents for all their time and efforts and helping us to train our brains!
The Faculty/Staff Favorites booklet is in the front office if parents ever want to reference it for one of their kiddo's teachers or school staff.
We often use it when we get birthday treats for each other, but we thought parents might like to know that it's available for them to look through as well if ever needed.
Thank you for appreciating the adults who make our school experience possible.
