YOUR TASK: Create 10 photo layouts using a clipping mask.
A clipping mask uses the content and transparency of one layer to control the visibility of another. To create a clipping mask, we need two layers. The layer on the bottom controls the visibility of the layer above it.
GRADE: 20 points
STEP 1: Drag the following 5 images into a "clipping mask" folder.
STEP 2: Open Adobe Photoshop, create a "New File" > letter size 8.5" x11" > 300 dpi > landscape
STEP 3: Type "name - course - clipping mask challenge" on the top of your document
STEP 4: Create a postage stamp shape from the custom shape tool.
STEP 5: File > Place Embedded > choose Alexandra Ocasio Cortez's portrait
STEP 6: Transform the portrait so it is on top of the stamp shape.
STEP 7: Right click on the layer of her portrait and choose "Create Clipping Mask"
STEP 8: Hold 'shift' and click on both the shape layer and portrait layer, and GROUP them in a folder. Rename the group folder as "stamp".
