Holding a BA in Film and Video from the University of São Paulo, Marcio Miranda Perez works as film programming coordinator at the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, where he is also in charge of the Latin American programs.
He is also the film programming coordinator at Mix Brasil Festival and, as a short film director and film editor, his works have been screened and awarded in Brazil and abroad.

Denise Jancar, director of PROMOVERE, represents Brazilian contents for the foreign market and distributes international content in Brazil. She attends international markets as Jury and Mentor and coordinates Curta & Mercado, a meeting of professionals at Curta Kinoforum - Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival.

Responsible for audiovisual coverage (capture and editing) of filmmakers' experiences, screenings of Brazilian sessions, and market activities, focusing on content for digital platforms.
Carol Aó
On set since 2009, Carol AÓ is an audiovisual director born in Salvador. She has lived in São Paulo since 2014, where she gained recognition as a script supervisor and script consultant. She holds a degree in Film from UFBA and in Social Communication - Advertising from UCSAL. Photography and visual arts are her main tools for scene research and exploration. She works in the construction of cinematic narratives, performing roles in direction and screenwriting, as well as serving as a script supervisor, assistant director, and script consultant for productions from Netflix, Amazon, Star+, HBO, among others.
She has directed several documentaries in Salvador and participated in projects such as A Vida Invisível by Karim Ainouz, a film she considers a turning point in her cinematic thinking due to her constant exchanges with the director (the film also took her to the Cannes Film Festival in 2019); Doutor Gama and M8 by Jeferson De, where she was able to deepen her relationship with casting direction and screenwriting; and the unreleased O Outro Lado do Céu by Gabriel Mascaro. In Cidade Invisível seasons 1 and 2, her collaboration with director Luis Carone (which began during the series Pico da Neblina) allowed her to be involved in the direction with active listening, contributing to scene construction throughout the series.
In addition to these projects, Carol Aó collaborated on Turma da Mônica - Lições, O Caseiro, Irma Dulce, Felizes para Sempre?, among others.
In 2022, she fulfilled a major dream of hers by making her first authorial fictional film, O Céu Não Sabe Meu Nome, which won several awards, including the LAB Negras Narrativas APAN/AMAZON 2020, the New Original Screenplays Competition from OEI in 2020, the LAB Griot 2020, and was awarded second place in the short film PROAC 2020 grant from the state of São Paulo. Currently, O Céu is in the process of applying to film festivals.
At present, she works as a scene director in advertising at Pródigo Films.
Lilih Curi is a screenwriter and director. She studied Direction at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV) in Cuba. She graduated in Communication and holds a Master's Degree in Performing Arts. She develops her own projects focusing on gender, violence and disability through a blend of documentary and fiction styles. In 2013, she founded Segredo Filmes, where her short films have been produced: CARMEN (2013), TERESA (2014), CAROLINA (2017), DYSTOPIA (2020), ALS - AS LIFE SAILS (2022) and the upcoming ANASTÁCIA and NINO, set to be released in 2025. She is currently finalizing two more short films: RESTAURO, co-directed with Josi Varjão, and MOIRA. As a guest director, she directed PALHAÇOS DO RIO VERMELHO (2021) and four episodes of the Brazilian fiction series TRANSVIAR (2018). Her films have received awards and have been officially selected at various festivals and market events, including the 53rd Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro (BR), the 25th Short Film Projects Lab at the 32nd Curta Cinema Festival (BR), the XVIII Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema (BR), NordesteLab (BR), the Latin Arab Co-Production Forum (AR) and VentanaSur (AR). Lilih is also a member of ABRA (Associação Brasileira de Autores e Roteiristas) and Academia Brasileira de Cinema e Artes Audiovisuais (ABCAA).
Filipe Barbosa (Ufanego)
Filipe Barbosa is a 28-year-old filmmaker from Cidade Tiradentes, São Paulo. He holds a degree in Social Communication – Radio and Television from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In 2018, he founded Cine Social Club, a traveling cinema collective in São Paulo's East Zone, aiming to foster discussions on issues that directly affect residents of the periphery. His work stands out for its ability to authentically portray peripheral stories, capturing the social reality of his community. Filipe directed the short film "Fluxo – The Movie" (2024) and is currently leading two projects: "Quase Trap", written by Fábio Rodrigo, and the short film "Past & Present", for which he serves as both writer and director. These works underscore his commitment to amplifying the voices of the periphery, particularly those of Black youth.
Guilherme Severo, born and raised in Guarulhos, graduated in Film from FAAP in 2009. He has held various roles in the production of 38 short films, some of which have won awards at major national and international festivals. After gaining experience in production at major production companies such as O2 Filmes, Zulu Filmes, and Piloto TV, in 2011, he founded his first production company, Perigo Filmes.
In 2013, Severo served as production manager for the feature film “A Bruta Flor do Querer” (2013), which won Best Direction and Best Cinematography at the 41st Gramado Festival. He was also the executive producer of the documentary “Vai Guarulhos” (2016), which was selected for the CINEFOOT Festival and the Italian CALCIOCITY Festival in Milan. The film was screened at the Football Museum and acquired by Canal Brasil. In 2017, Severo founded the production company Animal Filmes. In 2018, he produced exclusive content for Globosat during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, broadcast on Sportv, GNT, and Multishow channels.
Severo is an associate producer for the fiction feature film “30 Anos Blues” (2019), which won a Special Jury Award at the 47th Gramado Festival and was released in 2020. He is also the executive producer of the documentary feature films “Diálogos com Ruth de Souza” (2022), available on Netflix. Severo graduated from the first class of the “Objetiva” entrepreneurship course in audiovisual from Apro/Sebrae. In recent years, he has participated in major industry events in Brazil, including Rio Content Market, Rio2C, Telas, and the Gramado Film Market, among others. He is the creator, producer, and curator of the “Filme Possível” Festival, a project aimed at connecting contemporary peripheral audiovisual works.
Helena Dias
Helena Dias is a producer, screenwriter, and researcher with over 12 years of experience in Latin America's audiovisual industry. Helena is the screenwriter and production coordinator of Seeds: Black Women in Power (2020) and the executive producer of Mermaid INC, feature film selected for BR Lab 2024 and winner of the TLF Next Award (Torino Film Lab). She also worked as the executive producer of MAFF Tour Colombia (2023), a documentary series spotlighting underground creatives in Bogotá and was a local producer for the Oscar-nominated Netflix documentary The Edge of Democracy (2020) by Petra Costa. In 2024, Helena was the co-narrator and researcher for the critically acclaimed podcast A Ditadura Recontada (2024), Brazil’s most listened-to history podcast that year. As a screenwriter, she penned the documentary series Guató: An Oar in Time (2021), finalist at San Sebastián Film Festival and the short film Jacaré (2025) which she also produced with her company Sapucaia. The film's world premiere will happen at Clermont-International Short Film Festival.
Victor Quintanilha
Victor Quintanilha holds a degree in Cinema from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2011). His final undergraduate project, Condição, which he wrote and directed, premiered at the 2012 Festival do Rio.
Victor specialized in Sound at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) in Cuba (2015), where he worked as a sound designer on Iceberg, which premiered at IDFA 2015 and won Best Short Film at the Fribourg International Film Festival (2016). He has also contributed sound design to several other award-winning short films at major international festivals.
Since 2015, Victor has worked as a sound editor on 51 feature films, including the award-winning Aos Teus Olhos (directed by Carolina Jabor), Gabriel e a Montanha (directed by Fellipe Barbosa), and Bacurau (directed by Kléber Mendonça Filho), as well as a range of documentaries and streaming series.
In 2020, Victor wrote and directed Little Portugal, which had its international premiere at the 2021 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, where it received a Special Mention from the International Jury. The film has since been showcased at over 40 festivals across 15 countries. His latest short film, Jacaré, is currently being distributed and had its world premiere at the 2025 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
Ricky Mastro
Ricky Mastro – Amplifying LGBTQIA+ Voices in Cinema
Ricky Mastro is a passionate storyteller and one of Brazil’s pioneering LGBTQIA+ filmmakers. His journey in cinema began with a Drama degree from the University of Washington, followed by a Master’s degree in São Paulo, where he focused on LGBTQIA+ representation on screen. Most recently, he completed his studies at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Audiovisuel in Toulouse, France. Throughout his career, Ricky has been dedicated to amplifying queer voices through film, both in Brazil and internationally.
Upon returning to Brazil, Ricky contributed significantly to the LGBTQIA+ community through his work at MIXBrasil Film Festival, G Magazine, and by organizing groundbreaking electro music events that celebrated queer culture. He has written and directed ten LGBTQIA+ short films, including a segment in Fucking Different São Paulo, which premiered at the Berlinale in 2010. His first feature film, 7 Minutes (2020), was distributed worldwide, further establishing his presence in the global queer cinema landscape.
Deeply engaged in the international LGBTQIA+ film circuit, Ricky served on the jury for the prestigious Queer Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. He was a key programmer for DIGO – Goiás International Festival of Sexual and Gender Diversity from almost ten year and is the founder of Recifest, Brazil’s leading LGBT+ film festival in Recife. In 2023, he launched Mostra Queer Brasil, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to showcasing Brazilian queer cinema worldwide, which debuted at Oslo/Fusion.
Currently, Ricky is developing two highly anticipated feature films, Giulia and Tarzan, along with Our Hood, an exciting new series exploring LGBTQIA+ youth in Brazil, produced by Manjericão Filmes.
With an unwavering commitment to authentic representation and storytelling, Ricky continues to champion diversity and visibility in cinema, creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ stories can shine.
Rodrigo Ribeyro is a filmmaker from Serra da Cantareira - São Paulo, Brasil. Graduated in Cinema from AIC and UFRB, he wrote, directed and edited six short films and several music videos. 'Cantareira', his first fiction, was awarded in the La Cinef Competition at the 74th Festival de Cannes. The film also won the National Grand Prix at the 31st Rio de Janeiro ISSF, Best Cinematography at the 54th Brasília Film Festival, Best Direction and Canal Brasil Award at the 21st Goiânia Mostra Curtas and Breakthrough Award at the 33rd Curta Kinoforum – São Paulo ISSF.
His documentary short 'Before Çairé', filmed in the Amazon, was in the National Competition of the 30th Rio de Janeiro ISSF. 'Green', his second short fiction film, has competed in the 34th Curta Kinoforum - São Paulo ISFF and at the 22nd Goiânia Mostra Curtas. 'The Nature', his most recent short film, premiered in the Première Brasil at the 26th Festival do Rio. His artistic practice is in constant connection with environmental protagonism, the relationship between society and nature and the discussion of labor.
Rodrigo also works as a Strategy Analyst for the Cinema do Brasil program, an organization that works in defense of the international promotion of brazilian cinema. Through this initiative, Rodrigo has been a representative at the Festival de Cannes, Locarno, Guadalajara, San Sebastián, Ventana Sur, Matapi, BrLab and others.
