HELLO!

My name is Renee Cassioppi and I will be your child's first grade teacher. Originally from Rockford, Illinois I graduated from Northern Illinois University where I received by Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I've been married for 14 years to my husband, Joe, and have 4 children.

This is my fifth year teaching at Ledgewood and my eighth year teaching 1st grade. I absolutely love 1st graders! They are excited about exploring new things and learning how to become independent problem solvers and workers.

I am looking forward to working with your child this year. I know the beginning of the school year is filled with many different emotions and feelings. I will try my best to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for each and every student in our class.
