Mrs. Bender

Greetings! I'm Mrs. Bender, My journey in Art education has been an exciting blend of different experiences:

• Originally from Long Island, NY. Where I graduated Lindenhurst Senior High school. 

• Later I obtained my associate's degree in interior design from Nassau Community College.

• After moving to Michigan, In received my bachelor's in general studies, With Art and Psychology minors from Saginaw Valley State University (2022)

• I Received my Master of Arts in Teaching (Secondary Education) at Liberty University Online March of 2025 

• I am currently enrolled with Michigan teachers of tomorrow program. to complete additional credentials 

My teaching experience includes roles as lead teacher at Edu-play Discovery Center and substitute teaching across various Michigan districts. I've also completed a practicum at Reese High School, deepening my understanding of art education.

I believe in fostering creativity and critical thinking through art. My proudest achievement? Having my self-portrait displayed at the Capitol Building in Lansing last year.

Known for my enthusiasm and a touch of nerdiness, I bring passion to every class. Outside school, I enjoy fishing, Gaming, painting, and spending time with my husband Blake and our cat, Jack.

I'm thrilled to spend another year at Kingston community High school and can't wait to inspire and nurture your artistic talents. Here's to an amazing year of creativity and growth!
