LINK TO PROJECT STEM
🎉Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am writing to share some exciting news about the curriculum for our Computers course this year. As technology continues to evolve, we are committed to providing our students with the most current and valuable skills to prepare them for future success. To that end, we are transitioning our computer curriculum from Project STEM to the industry-leading CompTIA TestOut platform.
TestOut is a comprehensive online learning suite that focuses on developing practical, real-world IT skills. A key feature of this platform is its alignment with CompTIA, the world's leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications. This means that our students will now be learning material that directly prepares them for certifications that are highly respected in the tech industry.
Through the TestOut platform, students will engage with:
Realistic Lab Simulations: Students will work in virtual environments that mimic real-world IT hardware, software, and network scenarios, allowing them to practice and master skills in a hands-on way.
Industry-Standard Content: The curriculum is directly mapped to globally recognized CompTIA certifications such as the A+, Network+, and Security+.
Career-Focused Training: The skills learned are in high demand and provide a direct pathway from the classroom to potential careers in IT support, networking, and cybersecurity.
While our previous curriculum provided a solid foundation, this transition to CompTIA TestOut represents a significant step forward in aligning our program with current industry standards. It gives your student the unique opportunity to not only learn about technology but also to earn credentials that can be placed on college applications and professional resumes before they even graduate.
We are confident that this powerful, hands-on platform will empower your student with the skills and confidence needed to excel in a tech-driven world. We look forward to a productive and engaging year of learning.
