Make do and mend; create a toy using only recycled materials.

Choose any of the following tasks which will earn you two KMS Bacc Knowledge points.

56.2 Science Balloon Race

Build a balloon rocket and have races - How to: With 2 lengths of string long enough to go across the room, thread one drinking straw ‘rocket’ onto each. Tie 2 pieces of string parallel across the room. Blow up a balloon and tape it onto the straw, holding onto the end so as not to let the air out. When both teams are ready let go of your balloon and watch as your rocket flies along the length of string to the other side of the room!

56.2 Science Chips

Research the silicon chip. How has it developed since the 1960s and what common everyday items do we now use these in?

Choose the following task which will earn you three KMS Bacc Knowledge points.

56.3 Science Top Trumps

Create a top trumps game of the solar system rating on the following out of 10.

1. Temperature

2. Number of moons

3. Time to orbit the sun

4. Distance from the sun

5. Atmosphere
