Q. Is transportation provided to the parade?
A. Yes! We will travel by school bus, and ask campers to communicate when they are approximately half an hour away from the school when we return.
Q. What is the parade route, and what time does it begin?
A. This year's parade will be Negaunee's Pioneer Parade. Click HERE for a sample map of the 2025 parade route. This may change due to unexpected construction.
Q. Can I chaperone?
A. Absolutely. Chaperones can help to keep our trip organized, and keep campers hydrated during the parade! Be sure to submit a background check through the Kingsford High School Office before requesting to be a chaperone. Get in touch with Mr. Barnby at jbarnby@kingsford.org if interested!
Q. What is the camper to staff ratio?
A. We generally march 60+ campers/staffers. There are two directors employed by Kingsford High School, and at least 20 responsible high school students from various participating schools. These individuals are previous campers at MOTOR. If you'd like to be part of the Pit Crew, apply here!
Q. Is there a refund policy in case plans change?
A. Unfortunately, there is no refund policy in place.
Q. How are special dietary needs accommodated?
A. Please communicate any special dietary needs in advance, and we will inform the school kitchen.
Q. Can a camper miss a day?
A. Yes. We realize that summer is a busy time of year. If a camper needs to miss a day, our amazing high school staff will ensure they are brought up to speed upon their return.
