Course: Strength and Conditioning by Bangkok Physiotherapy Clinic (1.5hrs) (New)
Price: 900 THB./Session
Staff: Bangkok Physiotherapy Clinic (External Provider)
Course Description: Improve movement quality (balance, coordination, mobility). Build resilience (stronger muscles, tendons, bones). Reduce injury risk (especially in knees, ankles, shoulders, lower back). 4 Enhance performance (speed, power, agility).
A meta-analysis focusing on youth athletes determined that neuromuscular training (NMT) is an effective intervention, primarily by cutting the risk of lower extremity injuries. Beyond this significant reduction, the analysis also suggests a possible benefit specifically in the prevention of knee injuries. This conclusion, drawn from the body of evidence reviewed, highlights NMT as a valuable preventative measure in young athletic populations (Emery, 2015).
A later dose-response meta-analysis reinforced the protective effect of training, reporting a reduction in lower limb injuries. This analysis further quantified the optimal approach, finding that the best benefits are achieved with a training frequency of 2–3 times per week. Significantly, the study also determined that even programs lasting less than 6 months were able to produce meaningful and significant effects (Steib, 2017).
A real-world randomized trial focusing on youth female track-and-field athletes demonstrated the dual benefit of neuromuscular training (NMT). The study found that NMT was effective in reducing injury risk among this population. Crucially, the training also yielded positive performance outcomes, resulting in improved sprint and jump performance (Mendez-Rebolledo, 2021).
A systematic meta-analysis focusing on strength-based injury prevention programs reported a substantial 30% reduction in overall injury risk. The benefits varied slightly based on the injury location, with the programs reducing the risk of knee injuries by 29% and ankle injuries by 32% (Chen, 2025).
A large 2024 trial conducted among elite young female soccer players demonstrated that just 12 weeks of in-season strength training was highly beneficial. The program significantly lowered non-contact injury rates while also resulting in marked improvements in strength, power, and jump ability (Darragi, 2024).
Group 1 (14–15 y/o): Coordination, endurance, strength, power, agility. : Keeps variety, skill, and safety.
Group 2 (16–18 y/o): Hypertrophy, strength, power, agility, prevention. : More structured overload with safe progressions
