Course: Orchestra Y7-Y13 (Invite Only) SS

Course Description: The orchestra improves every year and all players of instruments in strings, woodwind, brass and percussion are welcome. We are especially keen for violin, viola, cello and double bass players in any year group. Ideally, you will be of Grade 3 standard and above to join. To make sure you are right in the group, you can try a rehearsal and do a short audition.
Course: Orchestra Strings Sectional (Invite Only) - Lunchtime KS2

Course Description: The Primary Orchestra Strings Sectional gives our young string players the chance to refine their sound and strengthen their ensemble playing. In these sessions, students will work closely with a professional coach to polish their parts, improve accuracy, and develop confident, unified playing. Each session helps them prepare for full orchestra rehearsals and builds the skills that make great orchestral musicians.

Course Description: Join Operation Smile and take charge of making a real difference! This ECA is all about you and your ideas — you will plan, design, and run fundraising activities from start to finish. Whether it’s organising an exciting event, coming up with creative ways to raise money, or spreading the word across school, you will be the one in control. Every project you create will support children with cleft lips and palates, giving them the chance of life-changing surgery. If you want to use your imagination, teamwork, and leadership skills to help others, this is the perfect activity for you.

Course Description: The Senior Orchestra Strings Sectional focuses on perfecting technique, precision, and ensemble cohesion. In these rotating rehearsals, advanced string players will refine bowing, tuning, and phrasing under expert guidance to ensure every part is accurate and expressive. These sessions are designed to raise performance standards and bring clarity and confidence to the string section’s sound in full orchestral rehearsals and performances.
