Course Description: Stop Motion Animation

• Offering a unique blend of art and technology, the workshop provides an enriching experience that goes beyond traditional classroom activities.

• Students will gain valuable skills in areas such as project planning, digital literacy, and creative expression. Learning outcome

• By the end of the workshop, students will have created their own stop motion animated films, showcasing their creativity and technical skills.

• Students will have a deeper understanding of storytelling, visual arts, and the animation process.

• Enhanced problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills through collaborative projects. Content: The content of the Stop Motion Animation Workshop can be tailored to your students’ interests and ability levels. Typically, the workshop includes the following content areas: Becoming an Animator

• Understanding how animation works and the basic principles of movement. Familiarizing students with essential tools and materials for stop motion animation.

• Teaching students how to storyboard and plan their animations, from concept to execution. Traditional Animation Techniques.

• Exploration of classic animation techniques such as zoetropes and flip books.

• Hands-on projects including creating sticky note flip books.
