October 2025
On Thursday we took 45 children from Key Stage 2 to Great Torrington Rugby Club to compete in the Stephen Shields Cross Country. This is a popular annual event in which schools from all over North Devon meet to give their children the opportunity to run in a long distance event. Year three and four ran 1.5k and year 5 and 6 ran 2.2k.
All of the children represented Kingsacre fantastically, showing a great attitude and brilliant sportsmanship. We had some incredible runners from Kingsacre with special mentions going to George who came in 2nd, Leo who came 5th, Nieve who came 6th, Ruby in 7th and Ben in 12th. Elodie and Mason came in 14th and 15th and Ottilie and Lewis who both came 20th. All the children ran their best, contributed to their team points and came out smiling!
We couldn't be prouder of all the children who took part and a huge thank you to all the parent helpers who came along to support us on the day.

Kingsacre Football Tournament
Kingsacre hosted the annual girl's BLC girl's football tournament this week. It was a fabulous event in which over 100 girls from Kingsacre, Caen, Southmead, Georgeham and Marwood all came together to showcase their skills.
In the Year 3 and 4 competition, our teams were amazing and finished in 3rd and 1st place in their division. This was after a tough semi- final where our teams faced each other.
In Year 5 and 6, the competition was incredibly tough with strong teams. One of our teams made it to the semi-finals, narrowly missing out on a place in the final in a tense penalty shoot out.
Well done to all the teams involved today and a huge thank you to our parent coaches for supporting our teams so well.
