CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

This week in creative development, the children have been drawing and painting polar bears using powder paint, brusho inks and black pen. 

Personal, Social and emotional development

We had a visit from Kim, a dental nurse from Torrington Dental Practice, to talk about the importance of dental hygiene. Each pair of children had a blue light pen that showed the marks that they had made on the set of teeth. We then used the brush in circular motions targeting gums and then teeth to brush the marks away. When brushing correctly, the marks disappeared. We learnt that we should brush our teeth twice a day for two minutes, morning and before bed and not rinse after brushing as this clears away the flouride thats helping to protect our teeth.
