Spring Newsletter

This half term has been an exciting one as the children have continued to work hard and grow. It has been full of events such as World Book Day, Zoolab visit and the Easter Production. WE would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you all a restful Easter break. 

Writing

As Writers, we have been learning how to write an effective set of instructions and a engaging Warning story

Maths

As Mathematicians, the children have been learning new strategies on how to solve multplication and division questions

Reading

As Readers, we have been travelling through the forest learning about The Great Kapok Tree

As Scientist, we have learnt about the human body and light. We researched how we can protect ourselves from UV rays. 

As Theolgians, we have exploreed the true meaning of Easter and discussed emotions linked to Easter Week.

As Historians, Children have taken a trip to the past and explored how the Anglo-Saxons lived their lives and travelled across Europe. 

As Geographers, we have learnt about the Water Cycle and how rivers have shaped the way we live our lives. 

Zoolab 

We had another visit from Zoolab where the children had the opportunity to learn and hold a variety of animals such as a tarantula, giant African land snail and a corn snake. 

World Book day was a huge success again this year with all children dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Easter Production

Year 3 worked extremely hard to put on their take of the Easter Story. With one performance done, the children are looking forward to putting their costumes on one more time after the Spring Break.
