Extra Help Day: Wednesday
Hello! This is my 19th year teaching at KPMS and my fifth year teaching U.S. Civics. Exploring history, both world and U.S., has always been an aspect of my life that I have enjoyed since I was a child. In my spare time, I will frequently drag my family and friends to places near and far to check out a historical site! At home, my family and I can be found outside in our backyard, riding our bikes, or building with Lego's. We are a Lego family!
Extra Help Day: Tuesday
Hello! My name is Jillian Wright, and this will be my 6th year teaching Math at KPMS! I was a 7th grade Math teacher for three years before joining 8th grade 3 years ago, so this will be my third year teaching 8th grade and being a member of the amazing Green Team! I am originally from Simsbury, CT, graduate of UConn, and got my certification to teach at Bridgewater State. I am currently a Rhode Island resident, and mother of a sassy, opinionated 4 and a half year old, Emma! In my spare time, I enjoy doing activities and puzzles with Emma, going to the beach, eating donuts and working out! I am looking forward to meeting all of our new Green Gators this year!
Extra Help Day: Wednesday
Hi, everyone! This is my 2nd year teaching with Mrs. Bond, 3rd year teaching with Mrs. Susi, and my 15th year teaching! My husband and I have 3 boys. JJ is 6, Caleb turned 4 this summer, and Matt is 2! They keep me very busy! I love going for walks, watching TV, days on the beach, getting dinner with friends, and being with my family. My favorite part of teaching is the conversations I get to have, and ELA and Civics open the door to so many wonderful discussions! I love it!
Extra Help Day: Tuesday
For over twenty years and in three different states, I have been teaching ELA to students from seventh to twelfth grade -- and I am hoping that KPMS is my final stop! This is my sixth year in Grade 8 ELA, and I can't imagine being anywhere else. I have many loves besides teaching: books of all kinds, lightly salted popcorn, dark chocolate, diet coke, and my family, including the four beautiful girls who call me Mom (the youngest of whom is in 8th Grade this year in Franklin!).
Extra Help Day: Thursday
Hello! This is my fourth year teaching 8th grade science at KPMS, and my 6th overall. I graduated in 2009 from Northern Illinois University with a MS in Geology, I then spent a number of years working in the oil industry followed by working in groundwater/soil remediation. In 2019 I decided a better use of my time would be educating young people and hopefully, instilling an interest in science. My wife and I have a two year old boy named Ian who currently loves reciting his alphabet, counting to 20 and terrorizing his favorite older sister, the family dog, Miriam.
Extra Help Day: Tuesday
Hello! My name is Erin Brady and this is my 5th year as a Special Educator at KPMS and my 2nd year on the Green Team co-teaching math with Mrs. Wright. I have taught 7th and 8th Grade Math and Science, but my favorite is 8th Grade Math! My loves outside of education include visiting Walt Disney World, spending time playing and exploring the world with my toddler, Evelyn, and going on adventures with my family, especially for coffee and ice cream!
