Leadership

Be a leader in forming a great Teen Board. Roles in this area may include communications, recruitment, secretary, media relations, strategic planning and development. People in this role will make changes to the board that are effective, will update the website, and maintain records and communications with members.

Exhibits

In collaboration with the KidZone Exhibits Committee, teen board members will help brainstorm fun themes and ways to play in exhibits that children can learn and enjoy. Board will help with installation of exhibits which can range from mural painting to carpentry and sewing.

Community Events

Help plan engaging community events that are mission centric to the museum. Events include the museum Discovery Breakfast, Family Farm Festival, Airshow & Family Festival Science Festival and many more. You can gain face painting skills, public speaking, event planning and arts and science programming.

Community Outreach / Strengthening Families

Reach out to families in the community and let them know how they can participate in community and learning opportunities at the museum. Help the museum reach families who do not have resources for free play, enrichment or transportation.

KidZone Social Media, Video, Public Relations

This is for those interested in helping the museum in these areas. It can include public speaking, updating social media, writing press releases, photography and video production.

Special Projects

Maybe you are working on a Girl Scout Gold Award or a Boy Scout Eagle Award, or you have a great idea you want to pursue. You can do this. Click here to fill out the Special Project Request Form and schedule an appointment with KidZone Staff. You will be assigned a mentor for your project.

Education Programs

Learn and develop interesting programs for children that revolve around STEAM, early childhood development, special needs and confidence building.
