Exhibition at KIA's Architecture Festival 2025 in Nodeul Island, Seoul
The 100 Architects of the Year is an international, juried exhibition put together jointly by the Korean Institute of Architects and the Union Internationale des Architects (UIA), or the International Union of Architects in English, on a yearly basis, to bridge cutting-edge trends with architects' personal philosophies, and cultural dimensions of architecture with the general public.
We cordially invite you to let your achievements in a variety of architectural projects be known to a wider global audience by being one of the 100 Architects of the Year 2025.
The format of the exhibition has evolved to include not only models but videos as well. You may submit your work for the exhibition of videos, or models (scaled-down physical representations of projects), or both.
Building on the 30-year history of the preceding invitational exhibition subsumed under S. Korea's National Exhibition of Architecture, the 100 Architects of the Year was born out of the need to bring fresh impetus to Korean architecture so that it can take a leap forward and open up a new phase.
In 2012, it has proudly become an international exhibition certified by the International Union of Architects (UIA), or Le Union Internationale des Architectes in France.
You are most welcome to partake in this exciting evolution of the 100 Architects of the Year!
Your work featured at the brick-and-mortar 100 Architects of the Year 2025 exhibition scheduled for 21—25 October 2025 in Seoul, and the premium-quality print publication.
Certificate of participation, acknowledging your contribution to the exhibition
Photographs of your work showcased at the exhibition, be in video form, in model form, or both
Your profile information attached to your work at the exhibition hall, in the publication, and in the digital archive
Permanent spot for your work and profile information in the digital archive of the 100 Architects of the Year
To be eligible to apply for the 100 Architects of the Year, you need to be a member of the Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Japan Institute of Architects (JIA), or an association of architects in any other country, or otherwise an architect recognized by such an association of architects.
But this eligibility requirement does not apply to those who are directly invited by the organizer, or those who have won awards or competitions recognized by the Steering Committee of the 100 Architects of the Year. For further details, read this Entry Instructions page.
All entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, completed in construction or in design (concept) within the last three years, and free from any copyright infringements!
You may select the form in which your work will be showcased at the 100 Architects of the Year 2025 exhibition by submitting the work in the form of:
Digital video or
Physical architectural model (scaled-down physical representation of a project) or
Both video and model
The 100 Architects of the Year aims to put together the year's defining collection of architectural works in a wide range of project types and present it to a wider global audience of professionals, public personnel, activists, advocates, enthusiasts, and the public. Accordingly, first consideration will be given to already well-received works that were planned or constructed within 3 years from the opening of the 100 Architects of the Year exhibition, and selection will be guided by the assessment of whether the submitted work meet the standards of quality set for the exhibition.
