The mission of myself and the wonderful hardworking paraprofessionals and co-teachers working with your child is to provide the best opportunities, activities, support, and learning environment to help your child grow and mature. We are here to help your child develop a variety of skills and strategies so he/she can become more proficient academically and to work to the best of his/her ability.

Welcome to my website. I’ve been teaching in King George County for twenty-eight years. I live in the neighborhood, and my four sons went to Potomac Elementary (now grown men). I started my professional career in St. Augustine, Florida, spending much of my time at the Florida School for the Deaf as well as other public schools in the area. Early in my career I worked with Virginia Special Olympics and took a team to the State Games in Richmond for several years.

I’ve spent many summers taking classes and adding endorsements to stay current and informed in the field of special education and collaborative teaching, including endorsements in Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, Hearing Impaired, and Intellectual Disabilities. It has been a wonderful career filled with wonderful students and families. At Potomac Elementary we strive to implement the latest ‘best practices’ and researched based strategies for learning success. I am looking forward to learning and growing with my students at PES, and watching them soar to their full potential.
