About the Kids Heart Challenge
Each year our school participates in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. The purpose of this challenge is to teach students the importance of heart health and raise money to help kids with heart problems.
Last year, our school raised close to $14,000 putting us in the top 25 schools in Virginia. This year our goal is to raise $15,000 and get half of our students registered. Each students will earn special thank you gifts from the AHA depending on how much money they raise. Also, each individual student that completes Finn Mission will get to PIE Mrs. Mims in the face.
In addition to these rewards, the top five students and the class that raises the most money will get to participate in the silly string challenge. Each of these students will receive their own bottle of silly string to spray Mrs. Mims.
This years event will run from January 31st through March 4th.
