Shennetta Smith is the founder and Chief Executive Operator of Diamonds in The Rough Foundation Inc. An organization that help women and their children to move into the next phase of living without abuse. Ms. Smith is a mother of four children and the co-author of I AM Beautiful: The Evolution of Beauty. She has severed as a Director on the Salishan Association Board since 2017, and is currently serving as a Board Commissioner for the Tacoma Housing Authority. Her educational journey began at Clover Park Technical College where she obtained her certificate as a Chemical Dependency Specialist and her AA degree in Human Services. Continuing her education, Shennetta decided to complete her Bachelor's Degree at Evergreen State College-Tacoma in the emphasis on Psychology.

Guadalupe Macias Rivera is the Chief of Operations and Finances for the organization. Both a wife and a mother, to two amazing boys, Mrs. Macias Rivera stays busy working on her home life as well as staying connected with her community. With a Bachelor of Arts, with emphasis in Humanities and Social Sciences, from The Evergreen State College - Tacoma, an Associates in Applied Arts in Accounting, and an Associates in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education and Diversity Studies, with a Montessori Teaching Certificate from Green River College, she continues to share her wealth of knowledge with people she meets. She has been involved in community service since middle school when she lived in California after which she moved to Washington state and picked up again. Mrs. Macias Rivera strives to bring opportunities of both personal and professional growth to communities in need by offering the tools and resources for communities to be united and successful. She currently teaches in Seattle where she will soon be taking the role of Director at the school where she works.
