Cultivates Community Partnerships

Cultivates partnerships within the school and local community (including families and caregivers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, public and higher education libraries, businesses) to promote engagement and a community of readers.

Current Practices & Artifacts

-Library Media Specialist is school district representative on Kewaskum Public Library Board

-KPL Children's Librarian comes to schools to set up library cards for second graders and promote summer reading program

-KPL helps promote Battle of the Books program and curates book collections

-Help with research for local historical societies

-Provide library DVD's for "At the Movies" for local senior citizens

-Promote and support local authors

-Bring in volunteers to help shelve books

-Book Fairs
