How to answer a question in complete sentences

  1. A sentence is one idea with a subject and verb. Use more than 1 sentence with more than 1 idea.
  2. A sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with punctuation.
  3. A sentence does NOT begin with and, because, to, or, so.
  4. Restate the question in your answer. Identify the subject of the discussion in the first sentence. The first sentence does NOT begin with a pronoun (they, he, she, it).
  5. Spell out common words (you, because). Capitalize “I.”
