Freshman applications are open now for Fall 2025! We would love to have you join us in the AVID family!
AVID is a 4-year College-Prep Elective. All AVID students will take the AVID class at some point during the day.
9th graders must take the elective course during the regular school day periods offered. We usually offer AVID 9 during 2 periods throughout the day.
10th-12th grade AVID students have the opportunity to take the 0 period AVID combo class or during the regular class period.
To make sure that you have room in your schedule, we ask our AVID students to take a summer school course in order to open up an elective during the school year. Popular summer school classes include Health (1 semester only), PE, US History, & Gov./Econ. Please check with your AVID teacher & counselor to determine your summer school options.
