The Public Education Foundation provides an extensive variety of scholarships to increase student access to post-secondary opportunities in support of their educational goals.

Navy ROTC Scholarship - Applicant requirements: U.S Citizen between the ages of 17-23, high school senior, junior in your second semester of high school or college student, minimum ACT scores: Math 21 & English 22 and combined 44, minimum SAT scores: Math 540 & Verbal 550 and 1100. Applications are available online at https://www.netc.navy.mil 


MyMozaic Monthly Scholarship -  This competition is open to students enrolled in a high school or college in the United States who are US Citizens or are lawfully living in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Applicants must be thirteen (13) years of age or older on the date of their entry to qualify. Applicants must have an active MyMozaic.com profile with a minimum of three (3) items. These items can be any combination of documents, photos or videos. Applicants must also have a minimum of five (5) followers on MyMozaic.com. APPLICATION PERIOD: The scholarship period begins on the first calendar day of the month at 12:00 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends on the last calendar day of the month at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). Any student member of MyMozaic.com at this time who meets the requirements in Part I of this Official Rules and Eligibility statement is eligible to win the prize. Future Mentors Scholarship - All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited college or university for the semester they are applying to receive the scholarship. Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA. Domestic, international, and undocumented students are eligible. Graduate students are eligible for this scholarship. Students attending online universities are eligible and welcome to apply.

Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship - Who may apply: You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home-schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Complete the online application form including a 140-character message about texting while driving. The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full-length 500- to 1,000-word essay about texting while driving. Money Matters Scholarship - To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete the following steps: Study the 2024 Money Matters “Bring Home the Gold” student workbook to ensure you have a thorough understanding of the basics surrounding your first paycheck. If a volunteer teacher did not teach the lesson to you or your class, you can access the student workbook on your own online. Complete a five-question quiz based on material found in the “Bring Home the Gold” student workbook. Each student who correctly answers all five questions on the quiz will be automatically entered in a drawing for the scholarships. Candidates can retake the quiz as many times as needed to achieve a passing score. Oleg Fastovsky Outstanding Citizen Scholarship - Those eligible for the 2024 Outstanding Citizen Scholarship essay contest must comply with the following criteria:

A submission is considered “complete” when it includes: An updated resumé that includes academic, professional, and volunteer experiences focused on community service and citizenry. A 500 – 1,000 word essay that answers the following question: What is one of the most important ways an individual can serve their community, and how have you served your community in this way? A current official academic transcript indicates that the candidate’s cumulative grade-point average is 3.0 or greater. (Note: applicants who cannot furnish an official transcript from their current institution may submit both an unofficial transcript from their current place of learning, as well as an official transcript from the last school they attended.) Mediation & Conversations Scholarship - The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a two to five-year post-secondary institution for the 2024-2025 school year. Employees of Dolan Divorce Lawyers, PLLC, their immediate families, and individuals living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and good overall academic standing.

The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship - Scholarship Details: Path to Pro program focuses on training skilled trade leaders and offers scholarships to further education. Scholarships aim to support students pursuing approved trade-related programs at accredited two-year schools in the United States. Priority areas include Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Construction Management. The Home Depot Foundation actively invests in creating a skilled workforce for the future.

Eligibility Criteria: Open to high school seniors, high school graduates, and GED equivalent holders. Applicants must plan to enroll or be enrolled in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school in the U.S. Excludes employees and dependents of employees of The Home Depot. Epic Flight Academy Aviation Scholarship -To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be a junior or senior attending high school in the U.S. B) Be able to start flight training or aircraft mechanic training within 12 months of receiving the scholarship. Women in Aviation International Scholarships - Applications for the 2025 scholarship funds open August 1, 2024. You must be a current member of Women in Aviation International by October 1, 2024, and your membership must not expire before March 2025. You may apply for up to three scholarships. Scholarship applications are only accepted through the WAI website via the new online portal.  Please note the scholarship portal is independent of our website, i.e., if you are signed into the WAI website with your membership information, you will still need to register on the application portal to apply. CouponBirds Help To Save Scholarship - The CouponBirds "Help to Save" Scholarship is open to high school and college students of all nationalities. High School students must be 15 years old at least and provide an Enrollment Certificate. College students interested in participating in the scholarship program must be enrolled at an accredited university or college and 18 years or older. Open to high school and college students of the United States or Canada for the current school year (2023-2024). In addition, each student must have a legitimate acceptance letter from an accredited university, college, or high school for proof. Employees of CouponBirds or their parent or affiliate companies are ineligible to apply as well as their immediate family members, such as spouses, parents, siblings, or children. DEED Scholarship - DEED offers three types of funding for students to pursue energy-related careers: lineworker and technical education scholarships, student internships, and student research grants. Eligibility

Student applicants must be attending or planning to attend an accredited vocational institution, lineworker school or two to four-year college/university within the U.S. and must not be graduating within 12 months of the application deadline.

Directions

DEED offers two scholarship application cycles each year. Application deadlines are February 15 and October 15. Email DEED@publicpower.org to request login credentials to begin your application through our web-based scholarship application site. Official transcripts as well as the application must be submitted by the application deadline.

Lineworker and Technical Education Scholarships

These scholarships support the education of students working toward lineworker and other technical careers that are in high demand by electric utilities. Sphinx Competition - To apply to the Sphinx Competition: Instrument categories are Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. Participants in the Junior Division must not have reached their 18th birthday by February 1, 2025. Participants in the Senior Division must be at least 18 years old but not have reached their 31st birthday by February 1, 2025. Employees of Berkowitz Hanna Malpractice & Injury Lawyers, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

Application Requirements: The candidate must submit a 750-1000 word essay response to the prompt: how can we define disability in the modern world versus its medical definition? While defining what disability means to you, explain how disability has been part of your life, whether it’s affected someone you know or has had a personal effect. Encouraging Diversity Scholarship -  The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a vocational program or two to four year post-secondary institution for the Spring 2025 semester. This scholarship is open to students who identify as a minority based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or economic status. Employees of The Law Offices of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz & Bhaya, their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

Regeneron Science Talent Search - All Regeneron STS entrants must follow the official rules of entry, which outline eligibility requirements, ethics statements, and rules for scientific research. Entrants must meet all of the eligibility requirements listed below.

a. A student (of any citizenship) who is enrolled in and attending secondary school AND who maintains full-time residence in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Wake Island and Midway Island or the Marianas OR

b. A United States citizen enrolled in their final year of secondary school on the application deadline date attending a:

i.Department of Defense Dependents School or an accredited overseas American or International School, OR

ii.foreign school as an exchange student, OR

iii. foreign school because their parent(s)/guardian(s) are temporarily working and living abroad.

c. Proof of both citizenship and school accreditation is required for 2b (above).

3. SCHOOL STATUS

a. Applicants must be in their final year of their secondary school (public, private, parochial, charter or home school), completing high school courses required for college applications, must not have graduated from high school before the Regeneron STS application deadline, and must not have entered any previous STS.

b. Students who are uncertain of their graduation year at the time of entry must notify the Society by December 15, 2024 to either withdraw their application due to continued uncertainty or to confirm that they will graduate in the 2024/2025 academic year.

4. TYPE OF RESEARCH

a. Applicants must complete individual research projects to enter Regeneron STS. Research conducted as part of a pre-collegiate student team project is not eligible for Regeneron STS. This includes any research or portion of research regardless of whether it has or will be submitted to any competition. To remain eligible and collect Regeneron STS awards, the following statements must remain true about the submitted research project until June 1, 2025:

i. Students may not split a team project and enter it in Regeneron STS as individuals. Students also may not within the time between submission to Regeneron STS in November 2024 and June 2025 combine individual research submitted to Regeneron STS and present it as a team in competition, publications or any forum.

ii. Students who have been part of a team project wishing to continue as an individual may only submit the work completed independently and may not submit any work completed with the teammates.

iii. Research conducted alongside adult researchers in a research institution is permitted, but clarity and adequate knowledge of an individual’s role and independence vs. work being done by the collective laboratory throughout the application is vital. Consideration should be given to the extent to which the research qualifies as Regeneron Science Talent Search 2025 7 independent research, given the student and adult responsibilities.

Elks Most Valuable Student Competition - To be eligible students must be current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. High school graduates are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship - To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on the day of the deadline. Conerto High School Musicians Scholarship - To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be a high school musician (grades 9-12) enrolled during the 2024-2025 academic year. Dr Juan Andrade Jr. Scholarship - To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Have at least one parent of Hispanic ancestry. Healthcare Leaders Scholarship - To be eligible for the scholarship a student must: A) Be US citizens, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. B) Be planning on entering, or currently pursuing, an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Association of California School Administrators Region 11 Scholarship  - To qualify for this scholarship at least one of the parents of the applying student must be an ACSA member. Build a Better Future Scholarship - This is a great opportunity since in recent years it has been very much underutilized.  We were getting hundreds of submissions a few years ago, last year we had fewer than 50, that's a great opportunity for your students!
