COURSE SELECTION & ACADEMIC PLANNING

Choosing the right courses is a vital part of every student’s high school experience. At KHS, we encourage students to select classes that align with their personal goals, interests, and future aspirations. Our dedicated Learning Director team is here to support students every step of the way.

Each spring, Learning Directors lead classroom guidance lessons covering KUSD graduation requirements, A-G college admission criteria, and overall college and career readiness. During these sessions, students receive the information and guidance they need to confidently complete their grade-level course requests. We also regularly monitor student progress to ensure they stay on track for graduation.

To assist with academic planning, we provide course request sheets that outline the recommended course offerings by grade level. These documents reflect the strong academic foundation that KHS is known for, as we continue to pursue excellence through learning.
