Keri Mason, LCSW has been in the Pittsburgh, PA metro area for fifteen years. I have over 20 years experience in the mental health field. I have been employed in medical hospital settings, inpatient psychiatric units, corporate settings, private practice, community psychiatric work and also substance abuse rehabilitation centers. I have worked with young adults, adults, and geriatric populations.
I have several years of successful outcomes working with all types of individuals. I specialize in anxiety and depressive disorders as well as life transitions. I often ask the question "Who am I" and help clients explore and develop their own answers to this question. I approach therapy realistically and meet the client where they are at during each session. I approach therapy as a team (you and I) and believe success only occurs when we can trust one another. I have been told that I am approachable, easy to talk to and "down to Earth".I am a very "real" therapist and will utilize humor and pop culture references (when appopriate) to help folks better understand concepts and situations. Swearing is permitted in sessions just don't be offensive. We are all adults here.
I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) from University of Pittsburgh. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Pennsylvania. I have lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area most of my life and enjoy the people, culture and beauty of our city and surrounding areas. In my free time I can be found walking my dog, reading, attending concerts and live theater.
