Poems and Problems
Welcome to my website!
I am an associate professor of Russian in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Kenyon College. You can find my updated CV here. On this site I share some of my translations, original writing, critical articles, and other materials. I hope to add a chess section soon—to justify stealing my title from Nabokov—but for the meantime, translation presents its own set of "problems." I live in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, USA, with my wife and our two cats.
