NOVEMBER 2025
In November, we are talking about what it means to have good digital citizenship. The students are thinking about how they can have balance with technology and other activities, keep their personal information private, and make good choices when using devices. Check out the tips for families below from Common Sense Media!
We will also begin unplugged coding this month, and our older students will work with our online coding curriculum, code.org, as well.
Happy Thanksgiving!

OCTOBER 2025
The month of October will focus on creative design, and students will build strong and stable structures. A combination of physical and digital tools will be used.
All students will get a chance to see the 3D printers in action, and we will be printing designs in the upper grades!

SEPTEMBER 2025
The month of September will focus on building teamwork and using the Engineering Design Process. The theme is "Animal Engineers".
When we use the Engineering Design Process, we:
ASK - What is the problem?
IMAGINE - Brainstorm ideas for a solution and select one.
PLAN - Draw a diagram and select materials.
CREATE - Follow the plan; build and test the design.
IMPROVE - Look for what works and what does not, and make changes as needed.
We will analyze the amazing ways that animals build structures, and will study other unique facts about animals, too! Be sure to ask your child about what they have learned in STEM.
