Falcon Fresh Start

Has your child lost or damaged a library book? When a student loses or damages a library book beyond repair, he or she is responsible for paying for the book, but sometimes that can be difficult. To help teach our Falcons responsibility for library books, Ft. Wright helps students pay for their lost books by reading off their fines. You can choose to help your child read books and for every 1 hour you read, we deduct $1.00 from your child’s lost book amount. You may choose to have students “read off” the entire cost of the book or part of the cost and pay for the rest. When your child has finished reading off the fine, simply return one of the signed forms below with your child.
