Our kindergarten Falcon Family has nearly a Century of combined primary experience. They plan together weekly to ensure that our smallest Falcons fly high!
Mrs. Ponder and Ms. Wartman are dedicated to having fun and learning in their classroom! They believe in all students and strive to unlock each child's love for learning. Mrs. Ponder's favorite things about teaching kindergarten are listening to students begin to read and watching the huge growth they make throughout the year! Mrs. Ponder and Ms. Wartman can't wait for another year filled with growth, laughter, teamwork and "aha moments"!
Ms. Stauffer has been teaching at Ft. Wright for 5 years. During her career, she has taught in Ohio, Arizona, and Kentucky. She has been fortuitous to teach kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade, She has spent the majority of her time in kindergarten, which is her true passion! She loves the energy and excitement that kindergarteners bring to school every day! Ms. Stauffer enjoys reading, running and traveling. She has run a race in all 50 states. She has a Mastiff-Goldendoodle mix dog named Ruby who loves to chase squirrels.
Mrs. Martin and her husband, Matt, have three children, Ben (10th grade), Olivia (8th grade), and Ellie (6th grade). All 3 of her kids were Ft. Wright Falcons! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. They love to travel and be outside. She looks forward to getting to know each of her students!
Mrs. Siefert has been teaching for 26 years and has been at Ft. Wright for 19 of those. She has taught reading intervention and first grade. She is super excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year! She has her Masters +30. She has been married to her wonderful husband for 11 years and they have 2 kids, Jasmine (8.5) and Jordan (6.5) as well as a dog named Daisy. She loves shopping, cooking, baking, the color pink, and anything that glitters or sparkles.
Mrs. Klare is married to Matt and has 2 children that attended FWE. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and her dog, Dixie. She is beginning her 8th year at FWE and finishing her last year at NKU. She will be our student teacher in the spring. She loves and cares for the kids and will do anything to help them succeed.
