Hello, I'm Jessica.  I am a music teacher turned User Designer and I enjoy User Research.  Through teaching I have learned to be creative, flexible, problem solve and think outside of the box.  In teaching it is rare that your day goes as plan and you have to quickly be able to shift your thinking and plans to fit what is going on.  

I began my journey in user design when I took a college class to renew my teaching license.  I learned how rare creative people are.  This is when I began my studies at Kent State University for a Masters Degree in User Experience Design.  Being a teacher I have seen how much educational technology has progressed since the pandemic, but it is still behind other games and technology features available. 

Outside of school I enjoy playing and crafting with my daughter.  I obviously love music, playing, singing, performing and writing music, and binge watching shows on Netflix.  Also, I like doing home improvement projects on the house, currently working on painting and redesigning our front porch.
