The SPARR Lab was created in 2017 by Dr. Ali Barikroo, Ph.D-SLP. The primary mission of SPARR Lab is to investigate the effects of novel treatment modalities on physiological and clinical aspects of swallowing. Beside this interest on the effects of novel treatment effects on swallowing function, the Lab is also passionate in further research on the effects of aging on different aspects of swallowing function. SPARR Lab is funded through the Speech Pathology and Audiology program at Kent State University and is located in the Center for Performing Arts building, room A145.
