Roxanne

Abyssinian

Roxanne is a member of the Opera Cat chorus. She dreams of becoming the prima donna with the help of her mysterious teacher. Curious and brave, Roxanne often jumps into things without a second thought. She is devoted to her beloved human, whom she calls Lady.

Harry

Silver Tabby

Harry is an errand cat for the Opera Cats, often spreading news around New York City about upcoming performances and delivering messages to the singers. Once he’s made a decision, nothing will stop him from trying to accomplish it. Despite walking with a limp, Harry is still able to keep up with the other cats in darting around the labyrinthine building… or jumping off rooftops.

The Ghost Cat

No one has ever seen the Ghost Cat, although whenever a collar goes missing or a shadow passes over the wall, the Ghost Cat is blamed.

Kip 

Alley Cat 

Kip lives in the opera house, unbeknownst to both humans and cats. He is part of a group of cats whose sole purpose is to hunt rats. He may or may not know a thing or two about the identity of the Ghost Cat…

Norb

Persian 

Norb is the owner and director of the Opera Cat Company. Despite his brusque nature, he is knowledgeable in human operas and can understand very basic human language. Since his owner, Bellows, is the director of the Shelley Opera House, Norb knows a thing or two about managing the Opera Cats. He often enlists Harry to run errands for him.

Olga

Manx

The prima donna of the Opera Cats, Olga believes she possesses the best voice of any cat. She is prone to fanciful tales and only believes what she wants to. Olga views Roxanne as an opponent and is terrified of being upstaged. The only creature Olga is loyal to is her human, Star.

Alfredo is the polite and good-natured lead singer for the Opera Cats. 

Maggie

Maine Coon

Maggie is a small kitten devoted to Roxanne.

Susannah Brown

20 years old 

A member of the chorus, Susannah dreams of becoming prima donna at the Shelley Opera House. Besides singing, Susannah adores her pet cat, Roxanne. Susannah always has a comforting word or good advice to give to anyone who needs it.  

Phillip Townsend

24 years old 

Phillip is a violinist at the Shelley Opera House. He is kind to everyone but often has disagreements with Stone and Maria. Devoted to Susannah, he often helps search for Roxanne whenever the cat goes missing.

Elias Stone

53 years old

The director of the Shelley Opera House, Stone preoccupies himself with all things opera. He worries about the opera company’s reputation and will do whatever is necessary to ensure there is no bad publicity. His cat, Norb, follows him wherever he goes.

Maria Kingston

25 years old

Maria is the prima donna of the Shelley Opera House. Haughty and rude, she believes she is the best singer the opera company has. She will do whatever it takes to make sure Susannah does not become prima donna. The only other thing she cares about just as much as her reputation and position is her cat, Olga.

Alma

10 years old

Alma is the youngest of the ballerinas. Due to her overactive imagination, she believes in a ghost cat that haunts the theater. She is also devoted to Susannah.
